BSc. Medical Laboratory Science

SSSCE Applicants

Applicants must have credit passes (A – D) in six (6) subjects comprising of three core subjects including English Language, Integrated Science and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.(Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Elective Mathematics)

WASSCE Applicants

Applicants must have credit passes (A1 – C6) in six (6) subjects comprising of three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science) and three relevant elective subjects (Physics, Chemistry Biology and Elective mathematics).

Advanced Level Certificate Applicants

General Certificate Examination (GCE) candidates must have five (5) credits at the Ordinary Level Examination or equivalent including English language, Mathematics and either (i) Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science or (ii)General Science and any other subject. In addition, candidates should obtain three (3) passes at the GCE advance level or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science

Diploma Applicants

Diploma holders in Medical Laboratory with a minimum of B+ average/second class and three years working experience in addition to the basic qualification at SSSCE/’O’ Level may be admitted to the Third Year of the programme. All diploma candidates would be admitted after an interview.

Mature Applicants

Student must have Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or HND in Science Laboratory Technology with at least one year post- qualification experience and have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the application. Mature candidates are required to pass an entrance examination and interview

Graduates

Holders of BSc in the biosciences (biological sciences, biotechnology and molecular biology biomedical science) will start from level 300. An experience in the medical laboratory will be an advantage (iii) In addition, candidates will need to pass a selection interview.

11.2 Admission Procedure

Applicants who want admission to study at Redeemer College of Health will be required to go through the under listed procedure: 1. Redeemer College of Health will advertise for students’ admission through both the print and electronic media 2. Applicant should purchase application forms either from the School or designated points of sale 3. Completed application forms together with relevant attachment will be submitted by the applicant to the School 4. Short-listed applicants will be invited for interview 5. Only deserving applicants will be admitted to commence the programme
